YouTuber Sarah Hawkinson went in depth on her experiences with online therapy vs traditional, in-person therapy.
Perhaps the most eye-opening story she had was how she couldn't cry in front of her therapist in her in-person sessions. She couldn't bring herself to do it, which dulled the effectiveness of her sessions.
We can definitely identify with struggles to fully communicate in-person with a stranger. It can be awkward, make us anxious and if we don't connect with the therapist we might not get our money's worth out of the session.
It's for these reasons that Sarah decided she prefers online therapy.
